We apologize for any inconvenience.

All time slots for this year's Founder's Day have reached capacity. In order to uphold preservation guidelines for this historic house, we are not able to increase the visitor capacity limits.
We are sorry to disappoint you and hope you will visit the Flagler Museum on a different day to enjoy everything this beautiful home has to offer. We are open Tuesday through Sunday all year long, excluding national holidays. Thank you for your understanding.

Every year on June 5th, the Flagler Museum celebrates its anniversary by opening to the public free of charge in honor of the Museum's founder, and Henry Flagler's granddaughter, Jean Flagler Matthews. Visitors may take a self-guided tour of Whitehall's first floor, view the permanent collection of art and objects related to the Gilded Age, and climb aboard Henry Flagler's private railcar in the Flagler Kenan Pavilion. The second floor will be closed due to conservation and restoration projects.

Whitehall was built by Standard Oil partner Henry Flagler in 1902 to demonstrate the nation's rise to the pinnacle of human invention and artistic achievement. Flagler's granddaughter, Jean Flagler Matthews rescued the estate from potential demolition and established the Flagler Museum on June 5, 1959. Since then, millions have immersed themselves in the majesty of American life during the Gilded Age.

Please note that strollers are not permitted on Museum grounds.
